DETROIT (AP) -- Vice President Joe Biden warned more than 1,000 people at a Detroit High School that presumed Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney and running mate U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan are ready to repeal Wall Street reform and make cuts to health care if they win the White House in November.
Biden spoke Wednesday at Renaissance High School. He is on two days of campaign events in Michigan and Minnesota.
He said "in spite of the insistence by Romney that we should let Detroit go bankrupt," the Obama administration "rescued the auto industry."
The high school stop was Biden's second event in Detroit. He had another one later in the day.
Biden also made stops Tuesday in Minnesota where he compared GOP critics of Obama's Wall Street reforms to "squealing pigs."
