Tonight's News Ten Neighborhood Crime Watch begins in Jackson, where police officers responded to a breaking and entering complaint in the 12-hundred block of Highland.
A family returned home to find their back door had been kicked in,, electronics and cash were stolen.
There was another breaking and entering in the six-hundred block of Linden in Jackson,, electronics and jewelry were taken.
An investigation led a Jackson officer to another residence where most of the stolen property was located, and eventually four suspects were identified.
A woman was arrested at the Lansing Mall for retail fraud at Penny's department store.
When Eaton County Sheriff's deputies ran her finger prints, they found out she was on parole, and had a lengthy criminal history with five prior convictions for retail fraud.
Deputies also found she was in possession of marijuana.
Ingham County Sheriff's deputies had a report of a vehicle breakin at Potter Park Zoo, credit cards were stolen and used.
There was another vehicle break-in in the 33-hundred block of Dunckel Road in Delhi Township,, a purse containing credit cards and a check book were stolen.
The Lansing Police Department has now joined the Nixle-team, it's an on-line service that notifies you via text message of neighborhood crime, street closings,, and other law enforcement or city announcements.
Lansing Police say it's a way to keep residents aware of what's going on in their area.
