Suspect in stolen jug case

In the past couple of years since her son Cameron was diagnosed with a deadly brain disorder called Neurodegeneration Brain Iron Accumulation, Lynda Meade has truly seen the best come out in people.
"We've been overwhelmed by the support by people who know us and who don't," Meade says.
She never thought she'd see the just the opposite.
Surveillance video captured at the Potterville B.P. station shows a woman walking in, then walking out with a collection jug full of money in hand-- money meant for research for Cameron's disorder.
"The jug is gone. It's gone," says Lisa Paige, a family friend.
Paige and her friend Tina Sweet were the ones who put the jugs all over town. Sweet, a perfect stranger to the family, simply felt compelled to help.
"It's just a heartwarming story. The boy's 10 years old. He lost the ability to speak and walk," Sweet says.
But when they went to retrieve the jug, it was missing, along with the nearly $200 inside.
"I was absolutely sick. It made me sick to believe someone could do that. How do you sleep at night? How do you live your life?" Paige says.
Thanks to the video, they have clear images of who this woman is. She looks to be driving an older ford van and her jacket has a "TM" logo on it.
To Meade, this is all a surprise. She didn't know the women were raising the money, but says she can't help but be sympathetic to the thief.
"You can never understand people's circumstances. I would assume the person has something going on that's worse," Meade says.
Meade says she doesn't have much interest in pressing charges against the woman; the women just want the money back. If you have any information, please call Potterville Police at (517) 645-7802.
