Tonight's News Ten Neighborhood Crime watch covers, theft, destruction, and community involvement.
First up the Ingham County Sheriff's Office is investigating a home invasion in the twenty four hundred block of Sanibel Hollow, in Delhi Township.
Treasury notes, jewelry, and a desk-top computer were stolen.
Ingham deputies also received a report that a vehicle's tires were slashed in the 35 hundred block of South Waverly.
In the city of Jackson, police officers were called to the two-hundred block of North Blackstone.
A witness saw someone attempting to steal bicycles from the back of a vehicle
The witness stayed on the phone with 9-1-1 dispatchers and was able to direct officers to the suspect's location.
The Jackson Police Department is inviting residents to a community meeting on Monday October 5th from 6:00 until 8:00 p-m at the Carnegie branch of the Jackson District Library.
The meeting will include a presentation on the make-up and organization of gangs, what the police have done regarding gangs in Jackson, what warning signs to look for regarding gang involvement, and what you can do as a parent and/or community member to help.
After the presentation, the public will be offered the opportunity to ask general questions of the Jackson Police Department command staff.
