Spartans Lose Consolation Game At GLI Tournament

Michigan State's hockey team blew a 3-1 lead midway through the second period Tuesday afternoon and lost 6-4 to Michigan in the consolation game of the 53rd Great Lakes Invitational Tournament in Detroit. Michigan has now won two out of three against the Spartans this season. MSU falls to 8-11-1 on the season and resumes Big Ten play at home this weekend with Friday and Saturday 7pm games in Munn Arena against Ohio State. Neither game will be televised. Michigan Tech and Bowling Green are playing Tuesday night for the GLI championship. Tech beat Michigan State 5-2 on Monday and Bowling Green downed Michigan 6-4.
