Lewandowski Named Top Big Ten Freshman

The Big Ten Conference Tuesday named Michigan State's Mitchell Lewandowski as the freshman hockey player of the year. The Clarkston native tied for the Big Ten regular season lead with 19 goals. He had 34 total points for the year, the most for an MSU rookie since David Booth in 2003. He is the first MSU freshman in 20 years to score at least 19 goals.
