LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Big Ten East pre-season predictions could be determined later this March because University of Michigan's incoming quarterback, Shea Patterson, hopes to gain immediate eligibility from the NCAA without having to sit out a year which many expect.

The ruling expected this month, if he is eligible, Michigan's expectations this fall will rise dramatically.

If he has to sit out, Michigan will have another quarterback controversy going into the season.
