LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Blue Cross Winter Warm Up is underway.
This is an 8 week training program that ends in a free 5K walk/run.
The program entails two weekly one-hour sessions with certified Good Form Running and Walking coaches from the Playmakers Fitness Foundation.
Those participating will also receive weekly communication with trainers and nutrition tips.
In all, there are 15 instructional sessions that lead up to the goal event of the Winter Warm Up 5K walk/run on March 25.
This is happening now and is free to anyone interesting in participating.
Most of the training sessions are outside so proper dress is required.
This program is open to all ages and abilities and is a fun way to make those fitness goals for the new year.
