LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - On July 9, Gray Television Group, Inc., the company that manages WILX Media, announced the promotion of General Sales Manager (GSM), Debbie Petersmark.

Petersmark will now be the Vice President and General Manager of WILX Media and continue in her role as GSM.

She succeeds long-standing VP/GM, Mike King.

“For nearly 18 years at WILX, I have had the privilege of working with some of the best and brightest people in the business. I’m looking forward to new challenges and working with Debbie to grow WILX into Mid-Michigan’s premier multi-platform news and information leader,” said King.

King has moved up in the company to a new position created out of the acquisition of Raycom Media by Gray Television. His new title is Television Vice President for Gray Television Group, Inc. and he will be overseeing a larger portfolio of Gray markets.

Debbie Petersmark joined WILX in 2000 as an Account Executive and has served as General Sales Manager since 2014.

“I’m honored to follow in Mike King’s footsteps at WILX. He has been a trans-formative leader both here at the station and in our community. We are blessed with a strong team both on the air and off. I’m proud of the work we do, and the opportunity we have each day to make a difference in the lives of our news viewers and the local businesses that advertise with us,” said Petersmark.

King added, “She has an incredible ability to assess a customer’s needs and then develop marketing solutions that truly deliver results for our advertisers."
