LANSING, Mich. (WILX) -- On Sunday Team USA picked up it's first medals since Thursday.

Nick Goepper took home the silver medal in ski slope-style.

He won the bronze four years ago in Sochi in the same competition.

His teammate Gus Kenworthy failed to land any of his three runs and came in last in the final.

Other US skiers including Mcrae Williams and Alex Hall didn't advance to the final.

Norway's Oystein Braaten won gold, but according to Goepper, he's just happy to be a part of the 2018 games.

"You know I didn't put a whole lot pressure on myself, I just really zone in and focused and just visualized myself a million of times in the athletes' lounge, to tell you the truth it was just a pleasure to be a part of the craziest competitions in history."

The other medal came from short track speed-skating.

Pittsburgh's John-Henry Krueger won the silver medal in the men's 1000 meters.

That's the first time Team USA medaled in the event since the Vancouver games in 2010.
