Snow Friday morning led to many commuter accidents

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Snow and falling temperatures Friday morning made for a slippery commute.
Temperatures dropped to the mid-20s and snow and sleet packed the roadways.
Travel time was extended for many not only due to slick roads, but slower drivers trying to be safe.

Creyts Road at I-496 was closed due to ice causing a backup on the overpass.
A multiple vehicle crash on the west I-96 ramp to east I-96 slowed down traffic just before 9 a.m.
And traffic was backed up on US-127 southbound near Trowbridge due to an accident.

The snow tapered off by early afternoon allowing plow trucks to do their thing.
