Short outdoor walks can help family members get along better

A study from the University of Illinois finds short, 20 minute walks outside can help family members get along better.

Study participants included 27 mothers and their pre-teen daughters.

Participants were given mental tasks, like math problems or word searches, then researchers sent the pairs on a walk outside in nature, or at an indoor mall.

Those who had a nature walk consistently lead to more positive interactions between mother and child.
