NBC News (NBC) - Coffee lovers rejoice! Drinking three to four cups of coffee a day is more likely to benefit than harm a person.

RESEARCHERS IN THE U-K POOLED THE RESULTS OF MORE THAN 200 STUDIES ON JAVA.

OVERALL -- THEY FOUND THREE TO FOUR CUPS A DAY OFFERED THE BIGGEST BENEFIT... INCLUDING LOWER RISKS OF LIVER DISEASE... DIABETES, DEMENTIA AND SOME CANCERS.

COFFEE DRINKERS ALSO APPEARED TO HAVE LOWER RISKS FOR HEART DISEASE.

THE ONLY EXCEPTION WAS WOMEN WHO ARE AT HIGHER RISK FOR BROKEN BONES... OR WOMEN WHO ARE PREGNANT.

This research from the University of Southampton (UK) is published in the BMJ.
