From 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., over 1000 seniors will gather on the south lawn of the State Capitol from across Michigan.

Their goal is to talk with legislators and advocate on older adult issues.

Remarks are scheduled to take place by Lieutenant Governor Calley, Senate Majority Leader Arlan Meekhof, House Speaker Tom Leonard, and House Minority Leader Sam Singh.

There will be an award given to a volunteer for Senior Citizen of the Year, a performance by a Gospel Choir, and a food tent.
