Firefighters from Michigan are now helping battle the massive wildfires in California.
20 firefighters from the Department of Natural Resources and Michigan's Bureau of Indian Affairs have arrived in the Sequoia National Forest.
They'll join the more than eight-thousand firefighters battling the fires in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties, which have scorched 270 thousand acres.
The Michigan crew will spend the entire holiday period in California, coming home in early January.
