McCain gets treatment while in US senate

WASHINGTON (WILX) -- Arizona Senator John McCain will be getting treatment for brain cancer while he works in the US senate.

The announcement comes after advice from his doctors following an MRI he underwent at the national institute of health earlier this week.

The 81 year old was diagnosed back in July following surgery for a blood clot.

He left the senate later that month to start chemo, but returned earlier this month when congress reconvened from its August recess.
