Man charged after robbing smoke shop Monday

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) -- Police have charged a 21-year-old St. Johns man with armed robbery.

Sean Farrar is accused of robbing The Haven Smoke Shop in Lansing. Police responded to a robbery alarm at 8:45 p.m.

The accused allegedly had his hood pulled up, and a bandana covering his face when he entered the store. He approached an employee at the counter, displayed a hand gun, and demanded money. He got money, left the store, and fled after getting into a vehicle.

The suspect, Farrar, was located at a residence in St. Johns and arrested without incident. Deputies located evidence of the robbery, and the suspect was transported to the Lansing Police Department Detention Facility.

Farrar has been charged with Armed Robbery, and Weapons - Felony Firearm. Bond has been set at $5,000. He has a probable cause conference scheduled for 11/22/17, and a prelim exam for 12/1/17.
