Looking for a job using the Internet

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Does this sound familiar? You're online and you come across a dream job… revamp your resume and spend hours filling out an online application. You click submit and…nothing happens!
Job seekers are often frustrated with the lack of transparency companies have during the hiring process. But now, help is on the way.

"Time and time again, job seekers have said they are looking for more transparency in the hiring process," that's what Sjoerd Gehring, the Global Head of Recruiting for Johnson and Johnson said to kick off the interview. J & J Shine has launched a digital platform Wednesday to give the job seeker a chance to see where their resume is going in the process of finding a job. He says its like being able to follow your food order on Friday night.

Kathryn Minshew, CEO of The Muse joined News 10 in the interview. She says always have someone look over your resume, a second pair of eyes may catch something that you have missed. And really think about what you want in your career. She says, "it's not just about getting the job, but is it the right job for you."

Her company has teamed up with J & J Shine to help the job seeker understand the job they are applying for and see the process from application to interview online.
