Jimmy Fallon's new ride now open at Universal Studios

ORLANDO, Fla. (WILX)- You watch "The Tonight Show" every night here on WILX-TV 10, but now you can experience it in person at Universal Studios.

Jimmy Fallon's new ride, "Race Through New York With Jimmy Fallon" is now open at the Orlando park. The 3-D motion ride takes guests on a virtual race through New York City while competing with the 'Tonight Show' host. And this isn't the same old 3-D ride, you'll have to hang on tight. It is a pretty fast-paced attraction with lots of turns and curves as the audience tries to keep up with Fallon. Riders pass iconic sights such as the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, and even get to go to the moon and back.

The grand opening of the attraction was April 6, and Fallon celebrated by taping his show at Universal Orlando that week. “I’m happy. I’m grateful. I’m excited. This whole experience has been a real emotional rollercoaster simulator,” said Jimmy Fallon.
And forget about long wait times for this ride. 'Race Through New York' is the first ride at the park to feature an all-new virtual line. This means people can sign up to get a ride time, and then go enjoy other attractions at Universal Studios while they wait for their turn in line.

Another ride sure to thrill the whole family is Skull Island: Reign of Kong located in Islands of Adventure. Riders come face to face with Kong himself.
However, one of the popular attractions drawing big crowds to the park is still "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter". Harry Potter fans get the full experience of Diagon Alley- everything from butterbeer to a ride aboard Hogwarts Express.

The wait is almost over for Universal Orlando's third new park. Volcano Bay, a water theme park, opens this month on May 25th. Volcano Bay includes a multi-directional wave pool with beaches, water slides that drop from the top of the volcano, and beaches.

Orlando, Florida is a popular tourist destination for Michigan families with many taking to the various theme parks in the area for spring and summer vacations.
