Hurricane recovery slow going in Florida Keys

By  |

It's been three-and-a-half weeks since Hurricane Irma tore across the Florida Keys, and some people are still living without power.
Florida Governor Rick Scott took another tour of the damage in the Keys today, which took a direct hit when the storm made landfall as a category four hurricane.
Governor Scott says restoring electrical service is a top priority.
Despite the damage,, the Keys reopened to visitors on Sunday.
While Key Largo and Key West dodged major impact from Irma,, a number of hotels and other tourism facilities have yet to resume operations.
Several events scheduled for October... including Key West's Fantasy Fest and Key Largo's Humphrey Bogart Film Festival-- will go on as scheduled.
