HOLT, Mich. (WILX)-- In this Schools Rule, right now we are deep in Homecoming Season. News 10's morning anchor Lora Painter finds out how the seniors in Holt are trying to make their last homecoming their best.
All week long, students of all grades are busy with Homecoming events each day, culminating in a pep rally, a parade and tailgating before the big football game.
Student council member Walker Hayslett said, "This year a few things are changing. First, the parade is going to be here at the high school. We're also making the dance on Saturday. It's usually after the game but we wanted something more semi-formal."
Another Student council member Annie Hoang-Pham said, "The Homecoming dance was always something casual we came to after a football game. But now we can just go to the dance, dress up, like maybe have a date."
