TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WILX) -- The president of Florida State University has suspended all fraternities and sororities on campus until further notice.

The suspension comes after an alcohol related death of a freshman pledge and the arrest of a member of a different fraternity on cocaine charges.

University President John Thrasher has also banned alcohol at all recognized student organized events during the suspension.

He says the timetable to lift the suspension will be up to the students and how well they can behave.
