With two mass shootings rocking the U.S over the past two months, local first responders want to be ready if something like that happens here.
Law enforcement officers, firefighters and paramedics went through mass casualty training in Okemos today. Experts from 'Trauma Training FX' taught them how to apply a tourniquet to stop life threatening bleeding. They also discussed the proper way to treat victims during an active shooter situation.
First responders from Ingham, Eaton and Clinton counties took part in the training.
