NBC News (NBC) - You might get your coffee in a new container during your next trip to dunkin' donuts...

The chain announced a plan Wednesday to phase out all polystyrene foam cups from Dunkin' Donuts stores by the year 2020.

Foam packaging is non-biodegradable and harmful to the environment.

Dunkin' Donuts hopes phasing out the use of foam products will keep more than a billion cups out of the waste stream each year.
