SCOTTSDALE, Az. (WILX) -- Tis the season for giving.
A secret Santa hit up a diner on Saturday in Scottsdale, Arizona leaving behind more than an empty plate.
He added a $2000 tip to his $17 tab.
Waitresses say the customer enjoyed a breakfast of eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast.
He left behind a note on his receipt asking that the $2000 tip be split with the whole staff.
Waitresses are thrilled to have the extra cash right before the holidays.
"Unbelievable! It's like we took it right to the managers and said look what we got. So now we have to figure out how we gonna do this - how we gonna split it," said Waitress Delia Meek.
Everybody on duty at the time ended up getting $200.
The waiter who served the secret Santa got $400.
