Denver artist uses honor system as payment for paintings

A Denver artist has spent the past month giving his paintings away for free, sort of.

The man behind the new art installation called Blue Chipped, is Jonathan Saiz.

Jonathan spends about 12 hours a day creating tiny blue paintings for people to buy, and the system works as an experiment.

The experiment is the honor system.

Each painting is $20, but you pay later by mail or a money app.

Jonathan thinks the guilt will just be too much when you look at the painting, knowing you never paid.
