Delta wants help covering losses from power outage

(WILX) - The CEO of Delta, Ed Bastian wants the help of Georgia Power and Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport after Sunday's power outage caused the airline to lose money.

Bastian says the losses could cost between 25 and 50 million dollars.

He says those numbers don't even cover what Delta is spending to reimburse travelers who had to stay at hotels.

Delta had to cancel 1,400 flights because of Sunday's power outage.

Bastian also says he was shocked that it took 12 hours for the power to come back on.
