MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (WILX)- Students at Central Michigan University were back in class Monday, a week and a half after a deadly shooting on campus.

It was the first day back since 19-year-old James Davis allegedly shot and killed his parents inside his dorm room, the day before spring break started.

The shooting lead to a chain of events, including a campus lockdown and massive day long search for Davis.

This week, the university's counseling center is offering extended hours, therapy dogs and group therapy to help students and staff feel safe.
