Job Summary and Description

The Course Management System (CMS) Analyst position provides management and leadership for the college’s educational computer applications. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating the implementation and subsequent maintenance of college-wide educational computer systems and application software integrated into the CMS and used to support college academic operations. This includes defining requirements, implementing and testing systems, solving problems, preparing related documentation, and acting as a technical liaison to ITS (Information Technology Services) and other college personnel. The CMS Analyst manages relationships with eLearning technology vendors to identify existing needs and potential solutions, conduct lessons learned following implementations, and provide feedback on integrations.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience or understanding of Course Management Systems/education technology systems, e.g., D2L; Kaltura; Adobe Connect; Pearson, McGraw Hill, and Cengage publisher systems; Respondus; etc.

Experience or understanding of utilizing database systems, as well as technology which may include SQL, HTML, XML, JavaScript, APIs and web development concepts to implement and support educational technology.

Preferred:

Understanding of information technology systems and processes related to student information systems, media systems, networking, authentication, and storage solutions.

Expertise or understanding of interface technology such as IMS Global Learning Consortium Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) specification.

Provide law enforcement presence and service to Lansing Community College in a professional, courteous and timely fashion.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent or higher.

Valid Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES) police certification, or having met the requirements to be MCOLES certified by January 2018, including meeting the minimum MCOLES employment standards, including written and physical agility skills.

Must have attained the age of 21 years of age.

Must be in good physical health, pass a physical examination, pass a psychological examination, criminal record check, driving record check, pass a drug screen, and have vision correctable to 20/20.

Preferred:

Associate’s Degree in a Criminal Justice related field preferred.

Medical Assistant I

INGHAM COUNTY

Description:

· Receives patients and their families at a health center or screening site. Coordinates initial interview, gathers background information, and assists in the completion of various forms and applications. Answers routine questions regarding operations and related services.

· Prepares patients for examination by escorting them to examination rooms, documenting complaints and symptoms. Taking vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse and pulse oximetry. Measures height, weight and pediatric head circumference. Records vital statistics and relevant visit information in patient electronic health record (EHR).

· Arranges for specialized testing, medical procedures and specialist referrals. Completes necessary paperwork and EHR documentation, contacts specialist’s offices, hospitals, labs or other facilities to make appointments as needed. Contacts patients or caregivers to inform them of appointments. Completes paperwork, notifies patients or caregivers and assists in tracking of referrals to ensure necessary care is completed. Forwards to proper personnel to complete referral authorizations as needed.

· Administers standardized tests or performs procedures ordered by providers such as developmental screening, EKGs, peak flow meter testing, ear irrigations and vision/hearing tests.

· Assist health care professionals conducting medical examinations as required.

· Collects specimens such as blood, urine and throat swabs per provider and/or standing order upon proof of competency. Collects or receives samples and conducts CLIA Waived tests per Ingham Community Health Center (ICHC) quality assurance training and documents within EHR. May prepare specimens to be sent to outside laboratories.

· Administers medications and injections safely following established standards, policies and procedures.

· Documents all care and communication within the EHR per training and established procedure.

· Provides care following established procedure under the Patient-Centered Medical Home model of care.

· Prepares assigned clinic area for daily activities to meet provider and patient needs according to established protocols and established checklists. Order materials, supplies, medications, vaccines, test kits and other items needed.

· Assists other support staff as necessary and performs a variety of clerical, record keeping and account keeping assignments.
