The 10th annual Capitol Mile/5K (a Playmakers Race Series Event) is set for Friday, June 21 in Old Town and will kick off the Festival of the Moon and Sun! This year, we are trading in our usual course for a new route on the River Trail.
In celebration of our 10 year anniversary, we are offering a special $10 registration! When you register on or before May 31, registration for both the Mile and 5K is only $10! You’ll also receive a cool tech race shirt! Register at www.CBC5K.com or active.com today!
The Capitol Mile/5K is a fun and healthy event for the entire family. This year’s event will begin with the kids’ races, followed by four heats (40 and up for women, 40 and up for men, women’s open, men’s open) with cash prizes and awards.
The mile event is also a great beginner's race. If you are just getting into running and not quite ready for a 5K, then join us for the mile! The mile events will be followed by the 5K run and walk. The mile event is part of the Playmakers Race Series.
This event has generated more than $570,000 for local nonprofits since 2004. Our commitment to the local community will continue in 2013 to assist more nonprofit organizations.
