Thursday in my inbox I get this email from our Assignment Manager titled: Chuck Woolery.
Of course I'm going to open it. Who doesn't love Chuck Woolery and his great laugh?
Tim's message asks if I was wondering what Chuck was up to these days and attached the following press release:
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chuck Woolery and Restart Congress Speaking at 2012 Michigan CPAC
Detroit, MI - The founders of Restart Congress, an organization dedicated to establishing term limits for all members of Congress, will be participating in this weekend's Michigan Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Holt, MI. This includes legendary game show host and political activist Chuck Woolery, Michigan's own 41st Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land, and Detroit-area business owner Mark Young.
Restart Congress launched on Presidents' Day 2012 with the goal of raising voter awareness about term limits and urging Congressional candidates and incumbents to sign the U.S. Term Limits Amendment Pledge. This pledge publicly declares their support for a Constitutional amendment limiting the number of terms an individual could serve in both the House of Representatives and the Senate. Restart Congress believes that term limits would significantly reduce the self-serving legislation and corruption that comes with career politics.
The Restart Congress team recently attended the national CPAC 2012 in Washington, D.C., where Chuck Woolery - an outspoken Hollywood conservative - was a featured panelist. Mr. Woolery and Mr. Young were also featured in dozens of radio interviews broadcast nationwide, discussing the issue of term limits and setting the stage for the launch of Restart Congress. Chuck Woolery rounded out a busy weekend as a guest on the highly popular Fox & Friends morning show.
The team is eager to continue discussing their initiative at Michigan CPAC. For more information about Restart Congress, visit RestartCongress.org or <http://www.facebook.com/RestartCongress>. For press inquiries and schedule information, contact Jeff Wright at 313.817.1135.
MI-CPAC 2012 will be presented by the Michigan Conservative Union this Saturday, March 24 from 7:30 am to 5 pm at the Capitol City Baptist Church in Holt, MI.
