Thinking today how when you're growing up you seem to always be worried about what others think about you. It's a constant battle in middle school and high school NOT to make a social faux pas or do something really embarrassing that will get you teased and possibly scarred for life. Funny how as an adult, that inhibition is all but gone, but it can almost cripple you when you're 13.
I realized this as I found myself shirtless, in the middle of my daughter's 8th grade gym class today.
I guess our track workouts should have ended when summer vacation did. Tried to play it cool, but I counted at least two eye rolls and one: "Dad! Stop!"
