Sorry for the lack of content around here lately, but I've just been overloaded with other stuff. Currently, I'm trying to write and edit a piece for the Regis & Kelly show that I'm co-hosting this Thursday. The producer needs it Wednesday, which means I have to have it done on Tuesday and in the FedEx man's snatchy-grabby hands at 6:15 p.m. It's not even shot or tracked yet. I'm getting some pictures shot and I'm having my family do the voice over for it. Oh, and I need to burn the CD with the music I need to use for it too.
Oh, and I've been working on a good story about something you'll have to wait to find out about, but I did an interview for it last week, hoped to have it on-air last week, or early this week, but something kind of big happened in between. Yeah, Kelly Ripa.
Meantime, regular work duties haven't slacked off and today I anchored all the shows for David who had a day off. Tomorrow I'm in at 9 a.m. for a promo shoot and then at 10 I have a satellite interview with Kelly Ripa that will air on Wednesday after I've left for the Big Apple.
Honestly, once I get this piece for the show done, I'll be able to exhale again. In case, you don't know, here's my schedule. I leave Wednesday morning from Detroit and go to LaGuardia in NY. There's really nothing I have to do for the show that day, although they do send over some notes to my hotel room. I get to the show no later than 8 a.m. Thursday for hair and makeup and then to some production meetings about the show and then WHAMMY! Showtime! It sounds like I'm winging it a little bit, which is when I'm at my best so that's fine.
Look for a mini-package on the trip on Friday and then a longer version sometime in the future.
Let me know when it's over... I'd like to catch my breath.
