CON: Realizing you're 35, not 25.
PRO: Feeling the love of your wife who's made a special breakfast because she stayed home from work on your day.
CON: Finding out she only stayed home b/c she's chaperoning your daughter's field trip.
PRO: Getting a shoutout on WITL 100.7 during their birthday wishes. (Stephanie and Banana are Facebook friends).
CON: Reading today's obits to find out another old family friend has passed. Jay will be waiting for you, Margaret. R.I.P.
PRO: Watching my youngest come down the stairs with a strange look on her face and then-- the light bulb-- "Happy Birthday, Dad."
CON: Having a long to-do list.
PRO: Part of it is checking out a new suit at Holden-Reid.
CON: Another part is having to get in city taxes... after the deadline.
CON: Another part is go to work 3 hours early.
PRO: I get to do a fun story. (Can't share, because the competition trolls this blog).
CON: 11 am-- Pay final respects to my friend Dennis LeVeck. We'll miss you on Sunday mornings at the course, Denny. R.I.P.
PRO: Still healthy and happy.
CON: Still expect the phone to ring at 12:01 am from my mom singing and telling about her labor 35 years ago. I Miss you, Mom.
PRO: I think my wife is cooking up a special gift for me.
CON: It probably won't be a dark brown Buick Enclave or an iPhone.
PRO: Clicking on Facebook to find dozens of birthday wishes from friends from today and yesterday. FB is a nice b-day ego boost.
CON: Not knowing a few of those people. (I'm sorry, I approve almost anyone!)
PRO: I get to do whatever I want today-- It's my birthday!
CON: If I'm going to get to everything on time today-- I have to start my workout NOW!
