The Funniest SNL Skit You Never Saw

From 2005: Glengarry Glen-Christmas.

Alec Baldwin has recently skyrocketed as an actor in my book.  I've always known he was a good actor, but in recent years his comedic ability has just slayed me.  I didn't want to acknowledge it at first-- like the first 10 times he hosted "Saturday Night Live."  Since his role on "30 Rock" and in some recent movies like The Departed and My Best Friend's Girl, he's just gone off the charts funny.  For me, it may have started in 1995 and his 12th appearance as host of SNL.  This was the last sketch of that show and by far the funniest I had seen in a decade.  Why I was still watching SNL at 12:50 is beyond me, but it has me wondering how many people missed this skit because of it.  It's a parody-- almost word-for-word-- of his role in 1992's Glengarry Glen-Ross.  He plays a heavy hitter brought in to tighten up some sales guys who can't close deals.  Put it this way, if you haven't seen it, Google "Alec Baldwin, Glengarry Glen-Ross" and watch the entire scene (which is NSFW).  Then come back and watch this.
