Sorry for the late notice, but there's still time to grab the kids and come down to Hawk Island Park on Cavanaugh Road in Lansing Saturday morning for a 5k Run/Walk.  There's a kids' run and other fun activities for the cherubs and it's great exercise for you to start your weekend.  Remember: ALL PROCEEDS GO THE RONALD McDONALD HOUSE!  The RMH is a place where families can stay (free of charge if they can't afford to pay) when they're children are in the hospital.  Often times the child is in the hospital for a serious procedure that takes days or weeks and the House allows parents to stay somewhere with a homely atmosphere for a very limited cost.  If you know a family who's used a RMH ask them what they thought and you'll likely get a heartwarming testimonial.

The House is a self-sustaining charity and we pay a mortgage and have bills like everyone else.  That's why these charity events, like the Run/Walk and the Golf Classic in July, are so important.  So, if you get a chance, come on out to hawk Island Park and run, walk or just have fun.  Registration starts at 8:45.
