The Price is Exactly Right...

and Drew Carey couldn't care less.

An amazing thing happened on "The Price is Right" recently, but first a couple things on the show and its new host.  My granpa used to love "Price" and would always at least watch the showcases to see how close he could get to the price.  When I was working at the restaurant, he'd come out of the kitchen about 11:50 every day and change the TV's from ESPN to "Price."  Then we'd guess the showcases.  Kind of a family tradition, which meant a lot in my family since my mom loved the show and even attended it once on a trip to California.  I just wish Big Jim and my mom were alive to see what happened the other day when a guy got the price of his showcase exactly right!  Apparently, it hasn't happened in 35 years or so.

But Drew Carey acted like it was another ho-hum ending to the show.  Unbelievable.  I didn't think this guy was right for the job from the start.  His deadpan style just doesn't fit game show host and it was painfully obvious in this case.  Sirens going off, contestant having a panic attack, "Blah, blah, blah... neuter your pets."  Do you know what I would have done if I was the host?  I would have gone crazy and celebrated with the guy.  Just a hunch, but look for the rumors about Drew Carey leaving "The Price is Right" very soon.

You be the judge.  How bad is this?

Seriously, Bob Barker should have walked out and taken the mic and told him to work at the snack bar.
