Thursday night on the news you may have noticed me looking a little different. Not the hair, not the clothes... the fingernails.
When the season started I told them one of the team goals was for everyone to score a goal. They wanted more incentive than just the glory. They wanted to paint my fingernails. Each time someone new scores, they get out the nail polish. Ten girls, ten fingers-- made sense. After a 2-2 tie and a 5-0 win, four girls have put the ball in the net and Thursday at practice, someone finally remembered the nail polish. The teal, sparkly nail polish. Thank God, one of the goal-scorers was absent from practice, so I'm only trying to hide three fingers instead of pretty much my whole hand.
So, if you notice me hiding my hands a little in the coming weeks, you'll know why. Now, I just have to hope Andy and Staudt don't catch on and point it out for all to see.
