Hopefully, my daughters and all other pre-teens aren't listening. In the middle of the "SU2C" show broadcast on every network, here comes a long line of music's hottest female acts-- Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Carrie Underwood, Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Natasha Bedingfield and more-- with their song "Just Stand Up." Included, is Miley Cyrus. Why not? She is one of the biggest names in music right now thanks to her dad, Billy ray Cyrus and his one-hit wonder "Achy Breaky Heart" career. (My apologies to those of you who really love "It Could've Been Me" and count it as a hit as well).
Anywho, not only is she included, little Miley gets to stand right next to Beyonce in the middle. Wow. What an opportunity to take her career right into the stratosphere. But that express train to Diva-town derailed right around the time she opened her mouth. I never thought she was a great singer as I heard my kids play her CD's over and over, but singing next to Carrie and Rihanna was not a good career move. Exposed as less than average. Sorry, kids, and if you don't believe me-- check it out below. Am I wrong?
BTW, what's with Beyonce's hair?
