Tuesday driving to work I saw the most horrifying thing I'd ever seen for a split second.
Taking U.S. 127 South and making the curve just past Trowbridge and over Mount Hope, I saw something up ahead that literally made my heart stop. It looked like a toddler got hit by a car, bounced up in the air over another car, back down in front of the car in front of me. Just as the thought of slamming on my brakes entered my head, I realized it wasn't a child. It was a "Dora the Explorer" helium balloon. I'm sure every driver had a freak-out moment until they realized what it actually was. I didn't breathe until Jolly Road.
Roll up the window next time, kid.
