"I Kissed a Girl" by Katy Perry. Not since 50's "Candy Shop" has my soon-to-be 8-year old's singing along to a song on the radio worried me so much. Tonight on our way back from gymnastics I kept looking over wondering if she was getting the meaning of the lyrics.
"It felt so wrong. It felt so right."
It felt mostly wrong to me. Before kids, I would be your classic guy shooting the goofy smile to a buddy when that song came on. Now I have kids.
"I kissed a girl and I liked it."
With MTV's "The Hills" yet to come, I'm sure I'll be wishing for this dilemma in a few years. Here's the song, btw, in case you haven't heard it.
