Driving Challenge

Let's go people, slow it down this weekend and see if you save money!

On the 6 o'clock news Thursday, I challenged everyone out there-- including myself-- to drive 5 miles slower this weekend.  5 miles an hour... that's all.  It won't cost you time, but it should save you plenty of gas.  Give it a shot, see if you notice some savings by resetting your miles per gallon gauge, and come back here Tuesday and leave a comment on what happened.

Drive safe!

My own experiment that weekend showed results. Driving 5 miles slower raised my miles per gallon from 21 to 24. That's a start. Lauren Z. has been raving about how she's going the speed limit and using cruise control everywhere-- even city streets. She claims she's up to 34 mpg. You go girl!
