We have talked about our weather streak here in Mid-Michigan with the lack of warmth and only seeing three 80 degree days so far this year. That will end with the forecast calling for most everyday next week well into the eighties. The weird weather streaks are not here but in two other major cities out west. We start with Seattle that has had 30 straight days of dry weather. You can expect that in mid June through July since a blocking high pressure gives the northwest sunny days. But if you figure this started back in May that is weird. May can be soggy. Next stop is Phoenix. They have had 14 straight days without a hundred degree day. That is real weird in June. The all time record is 18 days in a row set back in the 1800's. With the monsoon wet season starting they may struggle to see 100 for a few more days. |

Record cold here this morning. 61 degrees is the record all time low. Global warming? Not Posted by: Rita J. Rice Location: Moscow Is this what they call Global Warming. Good Grief, Bring back the old fashioned summers. Can't open the windows, or be outside long. Too cold. Thanks, RJR Posted by: Gary Location: st, johns On US127 going to EastWood Mall, probably near DeWitt going from St Johns, we noticed an unusual cloud formation. Low puffy, hi altitude clouds looking like brush strokes. In the eastern sky, about 45 degrees above horizon, ONE cloud, and one cloud only was in full color. Bright pink above fading down to a light almost translucent green at the bottom. Noon, and as you know no rain clouds. It stood out like a sore thumb. A colored cloud against a blue sky and white clouds. Any idea how such a thing can occur? gary |
