Wrigley Field to Host Big Ten Baseball

Northwestern announced Tuesday it will host Michigan in a Big Ten baseball game on Saturday, April 20th.  The time has not been announced.  Northwestern previously played Illinois in football at Wrigley, home of the Chicago Cubs.   Some in the conference would like to see the famous ballpark host the Big Ten tournament which will be held the next two springs at Minneapolis and Omaha.

MSU athletic director Mark Hollis favors using Wrigley for the tournament but whether enough dates are available at the right times or not remains to be seen.  Michigan State does not face Northwestern in baseball during the conference season but does face the Wildcats in Greenville, South Carolina on Feb. 17th.
