Selection Sunday is still four weeks from this Sunday-- and plenty can happen around college basketball in a year when there are no dominant teams that I can see. I'll suggest that Kentucky and Syracuse have the best talent and likely will be number one seeds. But the other two top seeds a re up for grabs at this point.
I think up to 15 teams can win six games and the national championship on April 2nd in New Orleans. Michigan State is in the mix but is going to need a good draw and some breaks along the way, not the least of which is remaining healthy. There are few senior superstar players in America so underclassmen will have to carry the load for numerous teams.
I don't think the Big Ten has any Final Four contenders past Ohio State and the Spartans and Ohio State always seems to get knocked out when the Buckeyes are expected to go deep into the tournament. Others, like Kansas, Missouri, Baylor, North Carolina and maybe Duke, all can get hot by the end of the regular season and play in the tournament with some confidence.
To me staying healthy is the key ingredient at this point of the long year for any team to have a chance at legitimate NCAA tournament success.
