MSU football fans will be giddy with a Saturday win in Columbus over Ohio State and if it's a loss the Spartan fans get two weeks to brood before the Michigan game. Hard to tell how the Big Ten season will play out over the next eight weeks or so because so many games appear as if they'll be close.
Who can win on the road? That's a biggie again this season. Can MSU win on the road, not only in Columbus, but at Nebraska, Iowa or Northwestern? Stay tuned. A loss to Ohio State does not kill MSU's Rose Bowl hopes but it does make life tougher the next two weeks because the Spartans will have then played two decent teams and lost to both, albeit that they were road games and that much tougher.
What about Michigan? A win over Minnesota is no big deal nor a 5-0 record as those numbers tend to go... but the next two weeks Michigan is at Northwestern and then Michigan State and 5-0 and that can go to 5-2 in a hurry. Stay tuned.
