What Am I Missing re Big Ten Presidents?

     Let's see-- the Big Ten presidents meet on Sunday and decide they want college football's playoff system to stay the way it is.  But the league's athletic directors met with Commissioner Jim Delany several weeks earlier and recommend essentially a four team playoff like the other conferences want.   So why have the Presidents let the A-D's meet on the issue in the first place?  If I read it correctly they essentially ignored the recommendations of the people they employ to run athletics.

     Typical of college sports and the Big Ten-- no rhyme or reason to this stuff.  The Presidents of the Big Ten ignore what was recommended to them by their own people, realizing all the time that change is coming.  I bet there is ego involved here with many of these division one presidents across the country.  Power they have, smarts on athletics they do not.  I don't mind the fact that the Big Ten presidents don't want change-- although they don't read the mood of the country if that's their stand is-- but it is embarrassing to the athletic directors that their diligence seems to be totally without merit.  On and on and on it goes....
