Stanton Doesn't Get Much Luck

Drew Stanton will end up with a good retirement from the NFL, but his five year career has been spent mostly on the bench watching others play in the regular season.  So Stanton signed this week with the New York Jets and now he wants out because Tim Tebow has been acquired to back up Mark Sanchez.  That was supposed to be the deal for Stanton, since he left the Detroit Lions as a third stringer.

The Jets reportedly will try to trade Stanton-- he claims he gave up better offers with Kansas City and Tampa Bay to join the Jets but now Tebow is in New York and that could be a circus between Sanchez and Tebow if the Jets stumble.  Where Stanton ends up is anyones guess, but he has to be understandably disappointed.  He knows he doesn't have much of a pro career left and he wants to play but where that will be and how much longer remains to be seen.
