Spring Games of Note this Saturday

Michigan State does not play its wind up spring football scrimmage until Saturday, April 30th.
The Spartans host their annual women's clinic this Saturday and it is sold out with more than 200 expected.  Michigan hosts its fans in the Big House in Ann Arbor to watch new coach Brady Hoke, and his troops, in action for the first time.  Michigan has installed new offenses and defenses.  The crowd could be affected by expected rain.

At Georgia's spring game Saturday, Lions' quarterback Matt Stafford is entered in a halftime passing competition with former Bulldog QBs.  Stafford had shoulder surgery three months ago so he must be feeling pretty good.  At Alabama's spring game, Saturday, the Nick Saban statue will be unveiled outside the stadium in pregame ceremonies and more than 90,000 fans are expected to watch the scrimmage itself.  Typical for Alabama.  Notre Dame's spring game will be seen live on Versus.  Notre Dame has a four game winning streak off Brian Kelly's first season.  Michigan's game, by the way, is also to be televised live at noon on the Big Ten Network following a U-M alumni touch football game in the stadium.
