I believe Michigan State has a better chance to win the men's Big Ten title at this point than does pre season favorite Ohio State. The Buckeyes play four of their final six on the road including Tuesdqay night at dangerous Minnesota. And Ohio State plays at Michigan Saturday night meaning it's conceivable the Buckeyes could have a three game losing streak if matters don't go their way. They also must close at Michigan State on March 4th.
The Spartans have three home and three away and only Nebraska at home appears to be a sure win. But the schedule just doesn't look as tough for Michigan State as it does for the Buckeyes and of course this could well come down to the regular season finale in the Breslin Center.
First up, Wisconsin on Thursday and for some reason this game might be as tight as the overtime game in Madison on January 3rd. I'm guessing a lot of close games are on the docket the rest of the way-- and injuries may play a factor over the final three weeks as well.
